UK LAUNCH OF BLUE LAGOON SKIN SCIENCE

The Mazarine Restaurant, London

Born in Iceland from the healing Blue Lagoon geothermal seawater, Blue Lagoon Skin Science launched into the UK market with an intimate dinner at The Mazarine Restaurant in Mayfair. Editor Kezia Parkins joined Industry guests and journalists for on-theme blue welcome drinks, followed by a delicious ocean-themed three-course meal.

During dinner, Holmfridur Einarsdottir, managing director of Blue Lagoon Skin Science, provided a backstory on the brand, before Dr Ása Bryndís, lead R&D scientist at Blue Lagoon Skin Science discussed the formulations behind the product range in more depth. Guests got to sample some of the products and enjoyed an evening of seafood and wine, providing an excellent opportunity to chat and learn more about the brand.

DERMALOGICA 2026 INNOVATIONS PREVIEW BREAKFAST

Mount Street Restaurant, London

Dermalogica hosted a trade media breakfast at Mount Street Restaurant, offering an early preview of its 2026 new products and treatments. Beauty editors and industry press gathered for an insight-led morning, with the brand’s senior team, including UK general manager Cirsten Hannken, who shared updates on upcoming launches and the broader direction of professional skincare.

Dermalogica’s education manager Candice Gardner presented the science behind the new innovations, including the Pro Pen 2.0 and the new Futureboost serum, while gaining a deeper understanding of the technology and thinking shaping Dermalogica’s future. The relaxed breakfast setting allowed for open discussion, with attendees encouraged to ask questions and connect with peers.

AMWC MONACO

Grimaldi Forum, Monte Carlo

Held on March 26-28, the Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC) once again drew a large international audience of aesthetic practitioners, researchers and industry representatives for a programme focused on current evidence, emerging techniques and ongoing debates within the sector.

This year’s agenda placed particular emphasis on regenerative approaches, with several sessions examining the clinical role of polynucleotides and exosomes, alongside discussion of the variability in supporting data. The press conference focused on the effects of body dysmorphic disorder on patient outcomes, AI’s role in facial analysis and the latest advances in GLP-1s. In injectables, speakers explored complication management and long-term outcomes, including a well-attended panel on vascular occlusion protocols and the practical use of ultrasound in routine practice. Surgical and non-surgical skin tightening techniques were also compared, with presenters outlining differences in efficacy, patient selection and durability of results.

AN EVENING WITH HYDRAFACIAL

HydraFacial Flagship, Marylebone

We spent the evening with HydraFacial in their flagship store in Marylebone, with a selection of trade representatives.

The evening showcased HydraFacial’s combination approaches with options for guests to try the classic HydraFacial and HydraFacial Keravive scalp treatment.

Editorial assistant Connie Cooper tried out the Keravive scalp treatment, which cleanses, exfoliates, and hydrates the scalp to improve hair health, stimulate follicles, and reduce flakiness or dryness.

The vacuum-based, spiral-tipped wand cleanses, exfoliates, and extracts, by creating a vortex to remove oil, dirt and product build up.

After the extraction, the peptide complex is applied, which promotes healthier, thicker-looking hair over multiple sessions.

The conversation and networking continued into the evening, with DJ music and drinks as attendees enjoyed treatments and connected with the HydraFacial team.
