High-tech facials... GENEO X BESPOKE GLO₂ FACIAL

Editor Kezia Parkins visited AM Awards Finalist 2025 nurse Teresa Tan to experience the Geneo X bespoke facial for deep hydration

THE LOWDOWN

Tan & Co is located in Soho within the Until space, which houses a community of wellness professionals and offers flexible treatment room hire. I’ve visited several times for different treatments, and it’s a great option for practitioners looking for a central London base without a permanent clinic commitment.

The Glo2 Facial offers seven non-invasive customisations via the Geneo X multi-technology platform. After a thorough consultation with the lovely Teresa Tan, we decided hydration was my main priority – my skin always dries out during winter thanks to central heating.

The facial began with a thorough yet relaxing double cleanse, followed by the application of a preparation gel to ready the skin for the first bit of tech.

Step 1: Build collagen and elastin with RF Pro

Electrical Skin Activation (ESA) reshapes, lifts, tightens and tones the skin from within by reactivating senescent skin cells via the body’s natural tissue-healing mechanisms.

The ESA handpiece applies direct current to the skin to modulate cellular ageing behaviours, promote natural healing and encourage the formation of collagen fibres, tightening the skin’s structure. At a deeper level, it increases blood flow and supports toxin removal. When combined with TriPollar radiofrequency, it becomes a powerful skin-tightening and contouring treatment.

Tan explained that this step may feel a little like elastic bands flicking the face. At the 30% setting, it was tingly but not unpleasant. I always love seeing my muscles twitch under this kind of technology – it reassures me that I’ll look nicely snatched by the end of the treatment.

Step 2: Oxfoliation

Next came Oxfoliation. This technology creates a CO2-rich environment on the skin’s surface, gently cleansing and exfoliating while triggering the Bohr Effect – a natural physiological process that increases oxygen levels deep within the dermis to hydrate the skin from the inside out.

This step felt incredible. My skin felt tingly and stimulated in the best way as bubbles formed and effervesced when the treatment head made contact with the serum, which contained a mix of powerhouse antioxidant ingredients including blue spirulina, lactobionic acid, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid.

As Tan continued to rotate the Oxfoliation head around my face, I really felt the depth of the exfoliation. It reminded me of a pumice stone for the face – but much gentler. Tan advised avoiding exfoliating products for a few days afterwards to prevent irritation.

Step 3: Ultrasound

Step three incorporates ultrasound technology to gently stimulate and condition the skin, smoothing the surface and increasing its ability to absorb the active ingredients which also included swertia chirata, tiger grass, citric acid and vitamin B5. This stage works at deeper levels of the skin to encourage regeneration and collagen production to deliver results over time. It felt warming, relaxing and deeply soothing – especially welcome after the exfoliation step.

Step 4: Massage

The final step was a lymphatic drainage massage to reduce puffiness and fluid retention, further sculpting the face while supporting circulation. By improving blood flow, this stage enhances overall radiance and delivers the ultimate glow to finish.

The treatment head vibrates gently, amplifying its draining effect and leaving the skin looking refreshed and sculpted.

THE VERDICT

Immediately after the treatment, my skin looked noticeably plumper, fresher and intensely hydrated. That glow didn’t fade after a few hours either – it continued to improve over the following weeks as my skin benefited from the active ingredients and collagen stimulation.

Makeup applied beautifully in the days that followed, gliding on effortlessly with no dry patches or texture clinging where it usually would. Even my usual hormonal breakout the following week was minimal, which is always the ultimate test for me. My skin simply felt stronger, calmer and more resilient.

This is one of those treatments where results are instant, but the long-term payoff is just as impressive.

BUSINESS BENEFITS

From a practitioner’s perspective, the Geneo X Glo2 Facial is an easy win. With no downtime, it’s ideal as a pre-event, wedding or red-carpet treatment, and perfect for clients seeking visible results without needles or recovery time.

The device is compact and portable, making it suitable for clinics with limited space, practitioners operating out of venues like Until, or those offering mobile services. Finally, being fully customisable treatment can be tailored to all skin concerns.
