DEAR READERS

Welcome to the February issue of Aesthetic Medicine Magazine.

This month we have a focus on treatments for the body. From the uses, risks, and efficacy of fat-dissolving injections to everything you need to know about hidradenitis suppurativa, an underdiagnosed skin condition that causes physical and emotional pain and leaves Black women unheard.

We also take a look at the power of lymphatic drainage post surgery and give you five of the best in the business to follow as partners in recovery.

I sat down with Dr Lisa Dinely to discuss how her career in functional dentistry led her into aesthetics, her passion for lifelong learning and personal development, and the regenerative treatments she can’t stop reading about.

This issue also focuses on one of the hottest ocular aesthetic treatments, the blepharoplasty and the value of CO2 laser for non-surgical options.

And, our Women In Aesthetic Medicine board talk truths about burnout, emotional strain and why women are more likely to experience emotional overload. Once again, columnists Amy Bird and Julie Scott reflect on work and life as aesthetic nurse practitioners.

Thank you as always to all of our contributors, and we hope you enjoy this issue.
