St Catharine’s College, Cambridge
4T Medical hosted a group of clinic owners on May 23, to share insight into the brand’s product and device ranges, with presentations and demos. The event was 4T’s first ever product and technology showcase, held in the historic grounds of St Catharine’s College in Cambridge. Attendees heard from Julien Tordjmann, managing director, on the applications of the products, before handing over to his training team for live demos. The company showed off its Dr Platon cold plasma shower technology, the Lumixa masks (including new Age Control), Apollo Duet, and gave a sneak preview into its new multi-platform device, Eve.

On June 13, editor Anna Dobbie hosted a panel on incorporating advanced technology into clinic, with expert advice from Adonia Clinic’s Dr Ifeoma Ejikeme and Sloane Clinic’s Mr Dean Rhobaye. In association with Skinceuticals, Inmode and Visia, the event saw panelists discuss the increasing demand for personalised treatments and share cases of how combination protocols can improve patient outcomes.

ENDOLIFTX EDUCATION EVENT

On June 4, Endoliftx hosted an evening of education at the internationally recognised clinic to demonstrate the brand’s latest advancements in laser-assisted skin tightening. Aesthetics specialist and key opinion leader Dr Priya Verma and award-winning medical director Dr Tapan Patel delved into new insight and protocols for the device to an audience including editor Anna Dobbie and contributing reporter Erin Leybourne. Sharing insight into the treatment, Dr Verma said, “Endolift is the closest non-surgical alternative to a face-lift and liposuction. It is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a laser fibre that is thinner than a strand of hair to tighten, lift, and add definition back to the skin.”

To celebrate its launch into Harvey Nichols, makeup brand Et Al hosted a breakfast and networking event for the press. Contributing reporters Ellen Cummings and Erin Leybourne were invited to the Fifth Floor Bar to meet the Et Al team and try the new Intelligent Skin Radiant Foundation. Attendees had the opportunity to get shadematched in the new foundation, with a team led by makeup artist, Justine Jenkins.
Guests heard from Anushka Patel, head of Et Al, and Dr Gaby Prinsloo, medical director, who gave insight into their development and manufacturing processes, including the clinical trials done on ingredients, and then the product as a whole, to ensure it meets its claims. Patel expressed her enthusiasm about the launch into Harvey Nichols, and highlighted how her background in makeup combined with Dr Prinsloo’s scientific background is the ideal pairing for the brand.

With a focus on an anti-ageing and evidence-based scientific programme, the conference is Asia’s premier aesthetic medicine global congress. Editorial board member Vanessa Bird (aka the Aesthetics Consultant) presented to an audience of physicians on ‘The Art and Science of Demographics’ and shared proven methods to identify and engage new and varied demographics to unlock clinic growth. As part of her faculty role, Bird was also invited to attend the official Speaker’s Dinner where she met members of the scientific committee, the Euromedicon team and other international speakers. “I really recommend attending aesthetic conferences in Asia,” she said. “Understanding the Asian aesthetic and cultural preferences and approach to regenerative medicine is extremely interesting. The mix of lectures, ranging from full-face transformation for Drag Queens (Dr Cyril Mitchel) to clinical development of extracellular vesicle mRNA therapy for collagen protein replacement (Dr Andrew Lee) was engaging and left delegates inspired, educated and motivated.”

Skin hosted its inaugural UK Connect event on May 20 with two days of education and a gala dinner. Editor Anna Dobbie joined chief executive Michael Pugliese and his team to learn more about the microscopic world of the microbiome, and find out how antioxidants help in the battle for youthful skin and how best to treat skin of colour. There were also advanced mixology sessions exploring the art of customisation, and sessions on demystifying acne and rosacea with enzymes and oxygen treatments.
VEGAS COSMETIC SURGERY CONFERENCE

The multispecialty conference offered a comprehensive exploration of plastic and cosmetic surgery, minimally invasive surgery, facial injectables and aesthetic dermatology as well as business and practice management. The AviClear event on May 23, hosted by Dr Anjali Mahto and Dr Tapan Patel, showcased Cutera’s FDA-cleared energy device for the treatment of mild, moderate, and severe acne. After discussing the damage acne leaves on your skin, confidence and social life, Dr Patel and Dr Mahto showed guests, including editorial assistant Michelle Duffield, impressive before and after pictures, highlighting the success rates of the device.
PLIM Swiss Launch

Buy now pay later platform PLIM has expanded its offering to Switzerland. The milestone was marked with a party on May 23 at an art gallery in Zurich, and editor Anna Dobbie was only too happy to celebrate with them, along with leading Swiss medics and investors. “We will be starting with a small selection of partner clinics at first, with plans to expand our lending services to more clinics over time,” said founder Nada Ali Redha. “The launch of PLIM Swiss represents a significant milestone for our company as we bring our services to the Swiss market.
“We are bringing more business and support to clinics, while providing the accessibility to self-care treatments to consumers. We look forward to working with our initial Swiss clinics and growing our presence in the country in the months and years ahead.
