Cutera

Cutera has announced the full rollout of AviClear in the UK and Ireland. This highly anticipated device has been touted as an alternative to acne medication and is the first FDA-cleared energy device for all severities of acne. AviClear uses the power of a 1726 nanometre laser to selectively target and suppress sebaceous glands, to eliminate acne at its source. A session of the laser treatment takes 30 minutes and doesn’t require anaesthetic, as the device itself is equipped with skin cooling technology to minimise discomfort. Three treatments spaced a month apart see 80% of people cleared of acne for two years after treatment.

Déesse Pro

The Sculpta is the newest release from Déesse Pro. The device uses low-level light therapy to evoke responses within the dermis. Its 630nm wavelength increases the proliferation of fibroblast cells while boosting their activity, increasing the production of vital skin proteins. Electric muscle stimulation and radiofrequency tone the facial muscles and stimulate collagen to promote skin health.

Sculpta works to restore and maintain optimal cell function, boost circulation and lymphatic drainage, and visibly improve the signs of skin ageing.

BTL

Following November’s limited release in the UK, BTL Aesthetics has announced the full release of the Exion four-in-one device. Exion addresses face, body, and intimate health concerns with minimal discomfort and downtime. Designed with four different handpieces to treat more than 20 areas of the body, the standout is the Fractional RF, a microneedling applicator that uses AI pulse control together with monopolar radiofrequency (RF). The Exion Face combines monopolar RF with targeted ultrasound to help boost the body’s ability to produce collagen. The Exion Body addresses lax skin and localised fat deposits, while the Emfemme 360 handpiece offers a solution for intimate health problems.

Regenerative skincare brand Calecim has unveiled the Eye Contour Lifting Cream, an eye product to strengthen the skin, improve luminosity and support the delicate eye area. Cucumis sativus antioxidant, ascorbic acid, and lactic acid provide protective and soothing benefits for this sensitive area. Lastly, niacinamide works to increase fatty acid ceramide levels in skin and provide it with improved skin barrier function. This product improves skin density and increases elastin production, reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

The new technology penetrates to a depth of up to 10cm without losing power to have a biological effect from the muscle tissue upwards. The laser is able to remodel and rebuild the skin from the base layer, without causing any pain or damage to the cells.
