High-tech facials: bespoke combination facial

Contributing reporter Kezia Parkins has a bespoke facial with Nadia Aminian at The Taktouk Clinic

THE LOWDOWN

I visited the iconic Taktouk Clinic in Knightsbridge to experience a bespoke facial with Aesthetic Medicine’s Therapist of the Year finalist Nadia Aminian.

THE EXPERIENCE

Tucked away in a gorgeous courtyard, complete with flowers in bloom and a trickling fountain, is the multi-award winning Taktouk Clinic, housing not only Dr Wassim Taktouk himself but also a superstar team of doctors, aestheticians and therapists, including the wonderful Nadia Aminian, the clinic’s senior aesthetician.

I have got to know Aminian recently through sector events and she is one of the most lovely and soothing people to be around, so I knew I was in for a high-touch as well as high-tech facial, due to her empathetic energy.

The treatment started with a thorough analysis of my skin. I had just returned from Thailand and my skin had gone from glowing to patchy due to a hormonal breakout.

After a deep cleansing with the Hydrafacial device, using the light glycolic salicylic acid peel, Aminian went in with some manual extractions to rid my face of the superficial whiteheads my hormones cause to flare monthly.

Next up was BTL’s Exion radiofrequency, targeted particularly around my nasolabial folds. This felt so warm and soothing that I could have fallen asleep, especially around my sinuses.

Next, Aminian used the ZO Complexion Clearing Mask on my cheeks where she had done most of the extractions, to kill any bacteria before putting me under the Dermalux LED. The oxygen infusion with custom serum that she added next was a cooling contrast to the previous technologies and would supercharge the hydrating benefits of the facial.

Finally, Aminian gave me one of her signature facial massages which did not disappoint. I felt lifted and sculpted, while also being relieved of tension. She finished with Skinceuticals products.

THE VERDICT

I absolutely loved this facial and the combination of treatments Aminian chose for me. Facials like these, that combine the best of cutting-edge device tech with the unique soothing and sculpting skills of the therapist’s hands, are my favourite. I was looking like a dewy dumpling when I left, with a radiant glow and, while Aminian warned me that I might break out, I haven’t.

BUSINESS BENEFITS

Aminian’s facials are bespoke to each patient, weaving in technology and manual methods as she sees fit, making her facials uniquely adaptable to anyone and a huge variety of skin concerns. This is an excellent reason to have adaptable, combination treatments on your menu that would benefit any patient, as well as having a highly skilled aesthetician with both tech and touch on your team.

PRICE

90-120 mins, starting from £350 .
