WIGMORE PRESENTS 2025

Royal College of Physicians, London

Organised by Wigmore Medical, this year’s conference featured a comprehensive programme of lectures, masterclasses and networking opportunities, culminating in a themed party. The event spanned three days, offering sessions on injectables, skincare, rejuvenation and the economics of medical equipment. Notable presentations included Dr Max Malik’s insights into the psychology of aesthetic patients, Dr Ahmed El Muntasar’s comparison of biostimulators, hyaluronic acid and polynucleotides, Julie Scott’s discussion on integrating medical equipment into clinical practice and Dr Abs Settipalli’s exploration of technologies like LEDs and microneedling.

The conference also featured a virtual anatomy masterclass by Prof Sebastian Cotofana, live-streamed from Argentina, showcasing 3D cadaver dissections.

Sessions addressed the future of regenerative aesthetics, with discussions on exosomes and stem cell-derived secretome technology by Dr Pamela Mok and Kurt Wee. Business-focused talks covered the financial aspects of acquiring medical equipment, featuring insights from Howard Ross on funding and tax implications.

The event concluded with “Wigmore’s Wild West”, a themed party at The Refinery Regent’s Place. Attendees donned cowboy boots and gingham attire, enjoying a night of drinks, music and networking in a relaxed saloon-style setting. Editor Anna Dobbie was also delighted to win the Sheriff’s Choice award for embodying the spirit of the Wild West. Yeehaw!

NIRA PRO+ LAUNCH EVENT

The Science Museum, London

Nira’s launch of the new Pro+ device was marked by an unforgettable evening at London’s Science Museum, offering guests, including contributing reporters Ellen Cummings and Kezia Parkins, a look at the latest developments in laser skincare. The event opened with a presentation from Nira founder and laser expert David Bean, who gave insight into the science behind the brand’s newest at-home laser innovation, which offers 50% more power and 35% faster treatment times than its predecessor. Designed for wrinkle reduction and skin rejuvenation in just two minutes a day, the Pro+ is FDA-cleared and suitable for all skin tones. With clinical results showing 93% of users reached their skin goals, the Pro+ is a great addition for professionals to retail as an effective maintenance option between professional in-clinic laser treatments. Guests were then treated to a three-course, space-themed dinner beneath a rocket in the museum’s iconic Exploring Space gallery – an especially memorable setting as the exhibit prepares to close after 40 years.

HUMAN HEALTH CORE LAUNCH

Shoreditch House, London

Kezia Parkins was invited to the launch of holistic wellness platform Human Health Core by Dr Mayoni Gooneratne. The theme of the launch was “moving out of brain fog into clarity and understanding and optimising cognitive function”. With cocktails and canapes flowing, attendees got to hear from Dr Gooneratne herself about the mission behind the brand and the power of understanding women’s hormonal health, as well as from Sensate founder Stefan Chmelik on anxiety, stress and trauma. Conversations also centred around the root causes of brain fog (hormonal, metabolic, neurological), its impact on performance, longevity, and daily life, as well as cutting-edge strategies for cognitive optimisation.

NADMED LAUNCH EVENT

Asia House, London

Everyone’s talking about NAD+ and Eve Oxberry went along to an evening event that took a deep dive into how the coenzyme really works. Nadmed is a Finnish company that is launching its NAD+ and NADH testing service into the UK market to allow clinics and wellness centres to offer a quick blood test to measure clients’ NAD levels to determine whether supplements will benefit them. During a panel discussion, Nadmed’s co-founder Jana Buzkova explained how the brand’s research has enabled them to create a reliable assessment of population reference values for NAD based on 300 blood samples, while the brand’s chef executive explained how NADs are necessary for every cell of every living creature, regulating a number of metabolic processes. Eve was able to take a test at the event, which came back showing normal levels of both NAD+ and NADH.
