PREPARING THE SKIN AND PROMOTING HEALING
Why peri-procedural skincare is big in the US – and growing in the UK1,2
Peri-procedural skincare is crucial to ensure optimal outcomes for patients undergoing aesthetic procedures. It involves the careful preparation of the skin before the procedure and diligent aftercare to promote healing and enhance results. Proper skincare protocols can minimise the risk of infections, reduce inflammation, and improve the overall appearance and longevity of the results. By investing in tailored skincare regimens, patients can experience smoother recoveries and achieve more satisfying, long-lasting outcomes, underscoring the essential role of skincare in the procedural process.
In 2023, the Alastin skincare range was launched in the UK to help patients gain more from their aesthetic procedures. Since then, UK aesthetic practices are finding that Alastin helps prepare the skin prior to injectable treatments, as well as procedures such as body sculpting. It also promotes healing and healthy skin following treatments.
THE POWER OF THREE
The key to Alastin’s success is TriHex Technology, an elastin and collagen support system that helps protect and renew skin for a more youthful appearance. It uses a proprietary blend of peptides to enable Alastin to achieve results in the three ways:
Remove – TriHex Technology supports the skin’s natural renewal process by clearing out broken-down elastin and collagen.
Rebuild – Alastin supports the skin’s natural ability to produce new, healthy elastin and collagen fibres in the newly created space resulting in visible changes to the skin surface.
Replenish – continued use of TriHex Technology supports the replenishment of new, healthy elastin and collagen to maintain a healthy, rejuvenated appearance.

As well as being used in conjunction with treatments, the Alastin portfolio features products that are used daily to build healthy skin.
UK practitioner Dr Ash Soni who has extensive experience with Alastin said: “The TriHex Technology allows us to really improve and optimise the skin health of our patients, which complements procedures beautifully.”
