Aesthetic Medicine returned to Dublin for the second annual AM Ireland conference and exhibition. Here’s a look at what went on
On November 10, 2023, the Aesthetic Medicine team returned to Dublin to host the second annual Aesthetic Medicine Ireland conference and exhibition.
Following the success of its launch in 2022, the event was back at a bigger venue within the RDS Dublin, with 36 exhibitors and 588 visitors coming through the doors.
Bringing together industry professionals to demonstrate the latest products and discover emerging trends, the one-day meeting, sponsored by HydraFacial, is the only event of its kind for aesthetic medical professionals in Ireland.
“The show has been a great opportunity to meet with clients, both new and old. It’s also really nice to keep up-to-date with everything that’s going on in the industry and connect face-to-face with people. You just can’t replicate that online or on the phone.”
INJECTABLES MASTERCLASSES
The clinical medics-only conference, chaired by Dr Patrick Treacy, Mr Arutro Almeida, Claudia McGloin and Dr Ahmed El Houssieny, took on a new injectables masterclass format featuring 90-minute sessions, including panel discussions and live demos on topics ranging from regenerative medicine to complications, advanced techniques and injectables for skin health.
Leading speakers who run clinics in Ireland, as well as those who hail from both the Republic and Northern Ireland, included Constance Campion, Dr Ninenette De Klerk, Dr Carla Devlin, Dr Patrick Treacy, Claudia McGloin, Dr Juliah Tbarani O’Shea, Alexandra Mills, Dr Charlotte Gribbin and Alexandra Mills, with others, including Cheryl Burton, Dr Mayoni Gooneratne, Mr Arutro Almeida, Dr Shameema Damree and Dr Ahmed El Houssieny flying in from England.
A big focus of the day was regenerative medicine, with demonstrations and discussions around polynucleotides traversing much of the programme.
Dr Treacy said, “The AM Ireland conference was exceptional in terms of both education and experience. It provided a comprehensive platform for learning about the latest advancements in aesthetic medicine. The sessions were led by renowned experts in the field. Moreover, the conference offered numerous networking opportunities, allowing one to connect with like-minded professionals and exchange valuable knowledge.”
THE BUSINESS AND LIVE STAGE
A hybrid Business and Live Stage saw practical talks on how to boost your practice in the morning, followed by live demos of non-clinical treatments and devices in the afternoon.
The Business Stage was hosted in partnership with Danny Large and SIAB and included talks from coaches, consultants and content creators such as Vanessa Bird, Mark and Alex Bugg and Simon Haroutunian. A panel on running a successful clinic also took place featuring Alexandra Mills, Dr Bonny Armstrong and Claudia McGloin.
The Live Stage sessions gave visitors a chance to listen to the professionals behind the brands share insights on the latest treatments with brands including BTL, Cutera, Solta Medical, HydraFacial, Sciton, Inmode and NoAge taking to the stage.
