Restoring and anti-ageing with Sunekos®

SuneKOS® Body and SuneKOS® Cell are two innovative treatments that can be combined to treat a range of body concerns including skin laxity, stretch marks and cellulite.

“SuneKOS® products offer a new paradigm in anti-ageing, containing the one and only patented and proven HYAA formula. They are versatile, user friendly and have an excellent safety profile”, says Dr Mark McCoubrey, SuneKOS® key opinion leader for Ireland.

A variation of SuneKOS®’s patented HY6AA formula, SuneKOS® Body, contains a combination of low-density hyaluronic acid and amino acids, uniquely adapted in a ratio according to the density of the area. Indicated for the treatment of skin laxity in the arms, hands, knees, abdomen, and inner thigh, it is the only treatment that can tighten areas of the body that will never respond to a perfect diet and vigilant exercise.

The mixture of amino acids in SuneKOS® Body helps the expression of collagen type IV and elastin, promoting the assembly of Extra Cellular Matrix (ECM) components to address cutaneous laxity. The injectable improves the biotensegrity of the extracellular matrix via promotion of the assembly of the extracellular components via bio stimulation improving new angiogenesis, hydration, and anti-inflammatory tissue response.

“SuneKOS® Body is the first of its kind. No other treatment in the world activates the body’s ability to create its own new collagen and elastin”, says SuneKOS® key opinion leader Dr Rita Nandi.

Dr McCoubrey used SuneKOS® Body to help address a patient’s concerns about skin laxity, that were impacting her confidence and mood. He treated her upper arms using three sessions of SuneKOS® Body, two weeks apart, achieving an improvement within two treatments. The before and after are pictured left below.

Alongside its ability to counteract laxity, SuneKOS® Body can be injected directly into stretch marks to repair skin trauma. Working to stimulate fibroblasts in the dermis, the regenerative injectable has been shown to promote rapid wound healing in patients and reduce the appearance of scarring.

SuneKOS® Cell is a resorbable, sterile, injectable solution that promotes the recovery of physiological conditions, affected by inflammatory and structural factors, on the microcirculation and interstitial level. A combination of hyaluronic acid, amino acids and an alkaline Solution, the cutting-edge formula determines the physiological induction of the precise mechanisms to improve the structure of the ECM, adjusting microcirculation and reducing fibrosis.

Designed to rebuild tissue and activate the body’s stimulus of collagen and elastin, SuneKOS® Cell repairs the damage that causes cellulite, as opposed to simply dissolving fat around the affected area. This new approach is designed to restore the homeostasis of the skin and adipose tissue thanks to a nonlipoclastic or lipolytic method.

SuneKOS® Cell is restorative, targeting the key drivers in the pathogenesis of cellulite; unresolved inflammation, inappropriate extracellular matrix remodelling, and reduced angiogenic potential.

“The importance with Cell is that it is aiming to restructure rather than destroy – renovating the Extra Cellular Matrix and reducing inflammation”, explains Dr Mark Holmes, global opinion leader for SuneKOS® “It remodels the collagen and elastin, in turn neutralising the acidosis typical of the inflammation in cellulite”.
