High-tech facials: Bespoke treatment with LPG endermologie

Professional Beauty deputy editor Kezia Parkins visited LPG’s training centre in Hammersmith to receive a luxury, bespoke facial

THE LOWDOWN

LPG Endermologie rejuvenates the skin by stimulating dormant cellular activity. An alternative to injectables, this therapy smooths facial expression lines and lifts cheeks. Endermologie is designed to boost the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid, resulting in firmed and revitalised skin.

THE EXPERIENCE

The weather in London recently has been humid, muggy, and dreary compared to what we normally expect over the summer months, and along with my mild hay fever, my face has been experiencing puffiness like never before. My sinuses have been particularly congested, amplifying the swelling around my eyes and either side of my nose, so I felt it was the perfect time for an LPG facial.

The treatment began with LPG’s lead trainer Esther Simon cleansing my face using the Expert Cleansing Balm, followed by the brand’s Pre-care Micellar Water. I was then exfoliated using the new Micro Exfoliating Silky Powder which is an enzymatic peel that is mixed with water and contains succinic acid/AHAs, papaya and pineapple extract. This was my first time trying any of LPG’s skincare products and I like them.

Simon then performed mechanical stimulation with the Ergolift treatment head and used a protocol called Fluid Mobilisation, which is great for lymphatic drainage, draining excess fluid pockets, removing puffiness, and helping sinus issues, which all, in turn, helps the skin to function better.

Using a smaller head, Simon firmed the jowls, cheeks, forehead, and eye area to help minimise some smile creases that are starting to appear there. This step helps to firm and lift the skin by stimulating collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid production. I loved the feeling of the LPG device moving across my face. I could feel tension evaporating from my temples and jawline and my sinuses felt so much clearer.

Simon applied the LPG skin peeling technology (20%) which is 10% glycolic acid and 10% mandelic acid as I had a lot of hormonal congestion under my skin. This is normally left on for a few minutes, but we only used it for just over 60 seconds as my skin is quite sensitive and I get a bit freaked out by the tingling sensations that peels provide.

LPG’s Post Care Collagen Sheet Mask, which includes collagen and hyaluronic acid, liquorice for brightening, aloe vera for soothing, centella asiatica for rejuvenating, and tocopherol as an antioxidant was then applied to my face and neck. It was the perfect soothing sensation after the peel.

The treatment was finished off with the Hydration Range (Endermocell) which is based around Korean skincare and has an anti-exposome shield to protect the skin from internal and external pollutants. Simon used the Active Replenishing Essence, Eye Balm, Oil in Water Replenishing Serum, Dynamic Replenishing Gel Cream and finished with the SPF 30 Cellular Defence Anti-Ageing Cream.

THE VERDICT

I felt de-puffed, snatched, my sinuses seemed much clearer, and I felt like I could breathe better. I also got an immediate glow thanks to all the LPG products. The deep hormonal spots I had under the skin of my chin have almost completely smoothed out.

BUSINESS BENEFITS

The draining and lifting effects of the LPG machine on the face are instant but can also make a huge difference in the long term. LPG’s skincare line blew me away, and it’s a great way to make extra profits and ensure that your patient’s skin continues to improve between visits.
