Nuceiva

Evolus has shipped the first customer orders for Nuceiva (botulinum toxin type A) and launched commercial operations in Great Britain. Nuceiva (botulinum toxin type A) is approved for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe vertical lines between the eyebrows seen at maximum frown (glabellar lines) when the severity of the facial lines has an important psychological impact in adults below 65 years of age. Dan Stewart, vice president and general manager of Evolus International said: “Starting commercialisation in one of Europe’s biggest aesthetics markets gives practitioners another choice in the neuromodulator they offer to their patients. With support from our distributor partners and pharmacies, we are looking forward to evolving the future of beauty with our customers.”

Revanesse

Canadian-based hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler brand Prollenium® has launched Revanesse® Outline. Outline joins the brand’s already expansive Revenesse Collection of dermal filler products, each with its own unique properties distinguished by indications and uses. Each profile varies by particle size, cross-linking and additional linear or non-crosslinked HA. Revanesse Contour and Shape are very thick in consistency and designed to be administered deep into the skin to treat areas which require more structure, such as the chin or cheeks, or projection for a more voluminous lip.

Jodor

Wigmore Medical is to distribute a new prestige skincare range – Jodor. Developed by aesthetician Soumia El-Bouziani in partnership with Dr Ahmad Tunveer Naqvi, the non-prescribed skin correction system delivers clinically proven results based on scientific progress and three years R&D. Joddor defends the skin against aggressors by restoring the barrier function. The Skin Therapy System comprises seven products, including a cleanser, toner, exfoliator, moisturiser, an SPF 50 and a two-part dynamic treatment which aims to improve the appearance of sun damage and hyperpigmentation.

Celluma

Celluma RESTORE has been introduced to the UK medical aesthetics market by Unique Skin Group. The LED device is the first to be FDA-cleared and Medical CE-marked for over-the-counter use to treat four common concerns in a single device: hair loss, ageing skin, dermal wound healing, and general pain conditions. Celluma’s patented, shape-taking design permits customised placement over the head to effectively deliver light energy and promote hair regrowth. Additionally, the Celluma RESTORE can be placed anywhere on the body to reduce pain and improve skin health.

Allergan

Allergan Aesthetics announced its entry into the hybrid injectables market with the launch of HArmonyCa™ with the anaesthetic, Lidocaine. Allergan’s first dual-effect product, HArmonyCa combines two active ingredients - hyaluronic acid (HA) and calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) - in one injection. HArmonyCa is formulated for facial soft tissue augmentation via injection into deep dermal and subdermal layers of the skin. The treatment is intended to provide an immediate lifting effect from the HA combined with a sustained lifting effect from CaHA, which is known to help stimulate collagen.

SkinPen Precision

Crown Aesthetics, inventors of the award-winning SkinPen Precision, have announced three new approved indications for the device. The certification confirms SkinPen Precision as a treatment which can help to improve the appearance of surgical scars, stretch marks, and enlarged pores on all areas of the body. The device is also approved for medical purposes to treat facial acne scars in adults aged 22 years or older and for aesthetic purposes to help improve the cosmetic appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and pigmentation conditions (dyschromia).

Restylane Eyelight™

Galderma has officially launched its latest product Restylane Eyelight™ to the consumer market. A virtual event led by Dr Munir Somji, founder of Dr MediSpa was held to mark the launch and attended by leading UK beauty journalists. With the popularity of tear trough treatments exploding in recent years, Restylane® Eyelight™ has been developed for precise placement to fill under-eye hollows. NASHA gel technology provides natural-looking results, reducing under-eye shadows caused by a lack of volume and volume loss in the under-eye area. “Improving tired eyes can often be the single most impactful tweak and I am treating more tear troughs in my clinics than ever before”, says Dr Somji. “Restylane® Eyelight™, provides a tool to deliver reliable and lasting results. It’s exciting to have this new filler on our books, I have confidence in the technology as it has over 25 years of history in the market.”

AlumierMD

Medical-grade skincare specialists AlumierMD have introduced a digital Colour Match Tool, giving skincare professionals a new way to enable patients to find their perfectly matched tinted sunscreen. AlumierMD’s Moisture Matt Broad Spectrum SPF 40 sunscreen comes in three shades – ivory, sand and amber. The new Colour Match Tool will support practitioners identify their patient’s skin undertones and select the right shade of tinted sunscreen in just two minutes. To use, clinicians simply hold a phone or iPad to the patient’s face and look closely at the tone of the colour as well as the depth of shade on the screen to find the one that looks most natural.
