Treatment review: Sunekos at The Lovely Clinic

Dr Sarah Tonks addresses editor Anna Dobbie's under-eye and midface with skin rejuvenation treatments

THE LOWDOWN

Sunekos harnesses the power of amino acids and hyaluronic acid (HA) to stimulate collagen production, improve skin elasticity, and enhance overall facial rejuvenation. This cutting-edge approach offers a natural alternative to traditional fillers, promoting long-lasting results and minimal downtime. Sunekos 1200 is a rejuvenation treatment with antioxidant properties for severe wrinkles and damaged skin, while Performa is composed of low molecular weight HA and the patented cluster of amino acids (AA), aka the HY6AA formula, in a new premixed composition.

Before

THE EXPERIENCE

Dr Sarah Tonks made me feel comfortable before assessing my suitability for the treatment and taking preliminary photos. For the first treatment, the area was numbed before I felt a few small 'sharp scratches'; on subsequent treatments, I skipped the numbing and felt very little difference. Sunekos 1200 was applied to my mid-face with a 25g cannula and 0.5ml of Sunekos Performa to either side of my under eye with 0.5 ml per side using a 34g needle, and the remainder to my lateral face. The entire treatment was very quick – less than 10 minutes, but I was left with some swelling for the 48 hours following each appointment.

THE VERDICT

After three sessions with Sunekos, the transformation in my under-eye area was nothing short of remarkable. Sunekos 1200 laid a solid foundation, improving skin texture and elasticity in the mid-face region, while the introduction of Sunekos Performa targeted under-eye hollows and fine lines with precision. The results were subtle yet significant, restoring youthfulness and vitality to my appearance naturally and harmoniously.

BUSINESS BENEFITS

Quick to apply and almost painless, skin rejuvenation treatments like Sunekos offer natural results with little downtime and broaden a clinic's injectable offering.

After
