LIP ENHANCEMENT

When: Friday, May 10, 11.15am-12.45pm

Agenda: Injectables Masterclasses

Open to: Medics with a PSRB registration only

Lips are one of the most talked about aesthetic procedures, especially when it comes to unnatural results and complications. That’s why mastering the art of lip enhancement requires precision and finesse. Delving into the use of both botulinum toxin and dermal fillers, this injectables masterclass serves as a comprehensive guide for practitioners aiming to create the perfect pout. From understanding the anatomy of the lips to mastering injection techniques, attendees will learn how to harmonise lip contours, enhance volume, and delicately balance proportions. With a focus on safety and natural results, this masterclass empowers practitioners to confidently navigate the nuances of lip enhancement. Speakers will include Amy Bird presenting the lip flip using botulinum toxin and Dr MJ Rowland-Warmann giving a live demo and talk on “Crafting natural looking kissable lips: Complementing Restylane Kysse with ultrasound technology” in partnership with Galderma. This session is for medics with membership to a professional registered body only.

RF MICRONEEDLING

When: Friday, May 10

Agenda: Aesthetic Treatment Symposiums

Open to: All

Led by Mr Ali Ghanem, this technology-focussed one-day agenda will include a session on radiofrequency microneedling (RF/MN). RFMN has become one of the most popular device-based methods for skin rejuvenation in recent years by combining the benefits of traditional microneedling with the skin-tightening effects of radiofrequency energy. This dual-action approach targets a range of skin concerns, including wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, and overall skin laxity, resulting in smoother, firmer, and more youthful-looking skin. Entitled “My needle is better than yours”, this session will see industry experts jostle for their go-to RF/MN workhorse.

HAIR RESTORATION

When: Saturday, May 11, 9am-4.30pm

Agenda: British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery (BAHRS)

Open to: All hair restoration medical practitioners and trichologists

Aesthetic Medicine is delighted to partner with the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery (BAHRS) for its annual conference. The two-day meeting will provide a fantastic educational opportunity by bringing together some of the UK’s best practitioners to discuss treatments, techniques and new products.

While this event is a fantastic opportunity for professionals already practising to augment their knowledge, the conference will also offer insight for delegates new to the hair loss and restoration field into what the best treatment options are to get started with.

PIGMENTATION

When: Friday, May 10, 9.15am-10.45am

Agenda: Skin and body agenda

Open to: All

If you want to gain a deeper understanding of the diverse range of available options and evidence-based approaches to combat pigmentation issues, then this session is for you. Dr Rajani Nalluri will provide invaluable insights into effective treatments for pigmentation, offering a comprehensive overview of what will work and what won’t, while Dr Sindhu Siddiqi will delve into the realm of machine-based treatments specifically tailored for skin of colour, highlighting innovative techniques and technologies that will address pigmentation concerns while considering the unique characteristics of melanin-rich skin. Other speakers will include Dr Ginni Mansberg, and there will also be a panel discussion.

REGENERATIVE AESTHETICS

When: Saturday, May 11, 9am-5.40pm

Agenda: Regenerative Medicine Conference

• Regenerative blood and tissue for hair restoration

• Functional medicine and the role of internal regeneration

• Regenerative surgery for buttocks augmentation

When: Saturday, May 11

Agenda: Injectables Masterclasses

Open to: Medics with a PSRB registration only

Chaired by consultant oculoplastic surgeon Miss Jennifer Doyle, this session on periorbital rejuvenation offers invaluable insights into the art of revitalising the delicate periocular area, a focal point for facial aesthetics. The session also includes a live demo by Prollenium, demonstrating innovative techniques for injecting the tear trough, and a panel discussion.

ACNE

When: Saturday, May 11, 1pm-2.30pm

Open to: All

From hormonal fluctuations to genetic predispositions, the pathogenesis of acne is influenced by a number of factors, meaning there is a need for highly individualised treatment protocols. Chaired by Dr Anna Hemming, this session will explore the latest treatments and approaches for acne skin. Speakers will include Cigdem Kemal Yilmaz, who will give a masterclass on “How to build effective skincare routines to treat acne”.
