For the fourth consecutive year, Cutera University Clinical Forum chair Dr Tapan Patel hosted the aesthetic device-led agenda on September 9. Editor Anna Dobbie networked with familiar industry faces between presentations on the latest technological innovations. The morning sessions focussed on acne treatment with the soon-to-be-released AviClear and Dr Ana Mansouri looked at maximising device-led treatments with integrated skincare. After lunch, Julia Kendrick gave tips on building a trusted reputation to underpin clinic success. Other topics covered included skin resurfacing, scar management, CO2 lasers for treating skin of colour and non-ablative dermal remodelling.

On August 24, editor Anna Dobbie attended the grand opening of Almás Dentistry and Aesthetics’ new branch on Duke Street. “It has always been a dream of mine to have a clinic in the heart of London,” said clinical director Dr Thuha Jabbar. “If you are thinking about taking the journey to open your own clinic, definitely go for it but you must always have your eyes on the goal which can sometimes feel like a million miles away because there will be so many ups and even more downs, and if your goal is not strong, you will fall.”
ALMA OPUS PRESS LAUNCH

On 13 September, Alma launched its resurfacing and skin tightening device, Opus, at a press breakfast at Teresa Tarmey’s Portobello clinic. A former Dior Beauty global skin expert with 26 years’ experience as a facialist, Tarmey joined Alma representatives to explain the plasma and unipolar radiofrequency technology that sets the device apart, with attendees given the opportunity to experience treatments for themselves.

The Beauty Triangle and founders of the London Regenerative Institute Mr Tunc Tiryaki and Mr Steve Cohen hosted a scientific talk on exosomes. The event brought together a panel of leading experts including Dr Benjamin Ascher, Dr Jacqueline Lewis, Mr Cohen, Mr Tiryaki and Francesca Ogiermann-White, who discussed the current global exosomes market, the developments and the future of exosomes for clinical application and new treatment protocols. The event also saw the B2B launch of Morphiya, the first FDA-approved product of its kind with a review of clinical data.
BEAUTY IDEALS AND INJECTION TECHNIQUES WITH DR SWIFT

On September 9, Swift Beauty collaborated with Revanesse UK to host its first training event. The London programme focused on beauty ideals and injection techniques. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr Arthur Smith shared some of the latest advances, personal tips, and proven strategies to enhance practice offerings. The teaching covered patient assessment and treatment planning for all areas of the face, with a detailed anatomic foundation to ensure safety and efficacy, as well as tips and tricks to ensure patient comfort. Live demonstrations aided in developing understanding and showcased the Revanesse portfolio.
BAAPS PRESS ADVISORY BOARD LAUNCH

Editor Anna Dobbie was invited to join the newly established Press Advisory Board for the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS). On September 13, BAAPS president Marc Pacifico, vice president Nora Nugent and former president Rajiv Grover hosted an intimate evening, introducing the initiative chaired by Francesca Ogiermann-White, where attendees were treated to sparkling conversation over a delicious and innovative tasting menu.

A curated guest list of key industry leaders was invited to dine with Sofwave UK and Ireland country director Matt Hubball and executive vice president John Nippler to discuss the experiences of Dr Yael Halaas, one of the early adopters of Sofwave technology in the USA.
