Lumenis launches Legend Pro+™ in the UK: A 3-in-1 skin and body platform that treats the causes of skin ageing from within

Innovator and technology pioneer Lumenis is adding a unique three-in-one multi-modality platform to its portfolio of devices in the UK. The Legend Pro+™ offers three powerful, clinically proven, complementary technologies for the face and body to target different layers of tissue individually and treat the causes of ageing from within.

Providing endless personalisation and patient treatment plans to respond to the specific needs and desires of each patient, Legend Pro+™ offers clinic teams a complete toolkit to address a whole host of indications including non-invasive body circumference reduction, skin tightening, reduction of cellulite, and treatment of wrinkles with exceptional results.

The ultimate in combination therapies, each of Legend Pro+™’s state-of-the-art technologies is designed to target each concern individually, from the superficial skin layer to the muscle. From resurfacing the upper layers of the skin to promoting the regeneration of collagen and elastin fibres in the deeper dermis, the device offers a comfortable solution with immediate results, long-term efficacy, minimal pain, and downtime, with no need for anaesthesia.

POWERED BY CLINICALLY PROVEN TECHNOLOGY

Lumenis Legend Pro+™ combines three innovative technologies based on radiofrequency (RF) that include:

TriPollar® triggers the regeneration of collagen and elastin fibres through controlled heating of the deep dermis to contract collagen fibres for immediately noticeable skin tightening. It also increases fibroblast activity for connective tissue regeneration with long-term effects.

Hybrid Energy™ patented technology encourages the renewal of new and healthy skin. RF-assisted ultra-thin electrodes are applied creating controlled micro wounds, followed by direct (DC)/galvanic current that produces salts in the tissue that leads to a basic PH environment. Both electrical currents (RF and DC) trigger the production of new collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. The RF energy has a thermal effect while the DC/galvanic has a non-thermal chemical effect.

TriFractional™ resurfaces and regenerates skin through the wound healing process to improve and refine skin texture by applying contact RF at pinpoint ablation with controlled volumetric heating.

Hybrid Energy (HE™), combined with direct current, TriPollar® RF, and TriFractional™, all encourage and enhance the natural healing and regeneration process of the body.

In addition, the Legend Pro+™ new cutting-edge handpieces can provide real-time temperature readings with in-motion millisecond precision, in addition to a countdown timer display. Legend Pro+™ is also equipped with five different ultra-thin electrodes and needle tips that differ in length and dimension to create the desired clinical effect.

“The TriPollar ® and the Hybrid Energy™ allow me to customise treatments for my patients and to get optimal results. My patients are happy going through almost painless treatments, and the treatment time is shortened without the need for numbing. These unique technologies allow me to treat multiple indications and get exceptional results.” Matteo Tretti Clementoni, managing director of Laserplast Sagl, Milan, Italy

Lumenis UK country manager Andrew Greenwell comments “Lumenis is excited to introduce the new Legend Pro+™ to the UK market. An innovative solution for all those seeking healthier skin with minimal pain and downtime, our latest device combines some of the most powerful technology on the market to deliver remarkable results for practitioners and their patients. The clinical benefits of our unique RF technologies are simply unrivalled, and we can’t wait to collaborate closely with our industry partners to harness their value.”
