DR LEVY SWITZERLAND’S
ContourPro and freezing anti-fatigue mask
THE LOWDOWN:
Following more than three years of intensive research, Dr Levy Switzerland has launched the Contour Pro and Freezing Anti-Fatigue Mask, which together comprise a complete med-tech protocol.
Developed to match Dr Phillip Levy’s proprietary injectable techniques, the Contour Pro provides professional-level, noninvasive recontouring. The device, which is recommended to be used for 10 minutes daily, is built around his most famous techniques for eyes, lips and cheekbones, the Contour Pro’s dual radiofrequency (RF) and electro-muscle stimulation (EMS). After just one use, the Contour Pro can visibly lift the face’s silhouette and tighten the skin. The low-level microcurrent helps to stimulate facial muscles by increasing the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and collagen, delivering great anti-ageing results.
In synergy with the Contour Pro, the Freezing Anti-Fatigue Mask has been uniquely formulated with two objectives. Used as a conductive gel for The Contour Pro, its alpine, glacier and island spring waters cool the skin and further the metabolic acceleration from the device’s dual electrical biotechnologies. Applied on its own, the mineral-rich mask energises tired-looking skin, unveiling a vibrant glow that reveals the skin’s smoothest texture.
THE EXPERIENCE:
This was my first visit to the Dr Rasha Clinic in Mayfair, which is a lovely setting to be treated in. First, my therapist Rachel cleansed my skin with 3Deep Cleanse and exfoliated Radical3 Reboot Pro Peel. The peel was left for around five minutes and removed, before applying a generous layer of the mask, which acts as a conductor for the device. She also rubbed some on the device itself, while explaining the dual RF and EMS technology and discussing the paths she intended to take to target any areas of concern and best contour the face.
She started with the first of three intensity settings and gradually increased the strength in the less sensitive areas of the face while maintaining a lower setting for the delicate skin around the eyes.
The sensation was quite pleasant, like small, regular electric shocks, and felt quite refreshing. I was glad that a lower setting was applied to my eye area because, as soon as she started working on that section of the face, my eyelids started involuntarily flickering; I don’t want to know what I would have looked like if she had increased the power!
After around 10 minutes with the device, the treatment was concluded with a few minutes in the Deese Pro LED face mask. I’ve never worn one before and I can see how some people might find it claustrophobic, however I quickly acclimatised. The mask has four wavelengths with different coloured light settings. Rachel used a yellow mask setting on me, which is designed to alleviate redness and hyperpigmentation, as well as revive dullness. The treatment was finished with a pump of Booster Serum, followed by a pump of Booster Cream and a healthy application of SPF.
THE VERDICT:
The treatment was a very relaxing and pleasant experience; I was told by friends who saw me in the evening that my skin was glowing, which is always a good sign. Rachel was a brilliant aesthetician and made me feel completely at ease by explaining the procedure and chatting about her life and experiences in the industry. I have since used the products at home and, although I lack Rachel’s skill, my face feels tighter and more sculpted after using the device.
BUSINESS BENEFITS:
A non-invasive alternative for Dr Levy Switzerland aficionados, the entire process is quick to do (taking less than 20 minutes). It can easily be combined with other treatments, making it a great add-on for your clients’ bespoke treatment protocols.
