WELCOME TO THE APRIL ISSUE OF AESTHETIC MEDICINE
This month, I attended my first Professional Beauty London at ExCel, which was a great opportunity to see lots of friendly industry faces, as well as get dressed up for the glamorous awards in the evening.
Speaking of events, it’s not long now until AM Live and the Aesthetic Medicine Awards. The day after this mag goes to print, I will be sitting down with the amazing panel of judges we have assembled to evaluate your awards entries and find out more about the great work of those at the forefront of their sector.
This month’s issue focuses on sustainability and how it can be incorporated into your aesthetics practice. Aesthetics business coach and mentor Ron Myers explains the importance of sustainability to practices (p54) and we look at the simple changes you can make for an eco-friendlier business (p60). One company ahead of the sustainability curve is Lynton, which considers it a key initiative. We speak to managing director Dr Jon Exley and commercial director Hayley Jones to find out about their corporate social responsibility initiative, Hive (p72).
I also got to write my first treatment review, from my visit to the Dr Rasha Clinic to try the new facial contouring protocol from Dr Levy Switzerland (p66). Kezia Parkins also describes her experience as one of the first to try out HydraFacial’s updated delivery system, Syndeo (p68).
