We discover how HINNAO has harnessed the power of glutathione and examine the studies that demonstrate the efficacy of its hero product for instant absorption

Glutathione (GSH) is a powerful anti-ageing molecule that has many favourable properties that impact not just patients’ skin but their overall wellbeing. Known as “the fountain of youth”, it is a master antioxidant naturally found in every cell of our bodies.

GSH depletion has been strongly associated with the diseases and loss of function with ageing1 . In fact, the average 45-year-old has already experienced a reduction of 50% in their natural glutathione levels.

THE BENEFITS OF GLUTATHIONE

The benefits of glutathione supplementation in targeting age-related disease and immune function, as well as the signs of skin ageing, have been documented in numerous studies.

As a powerhouse antioxidant, it helps innate immune cells do their jobs effectively and helps fight damage from infection. It protects our cells and tissues from free radicals, reduces oxidative stress and helps recycle vitamins C and E, which helps damaged tissues heal and recover.

However, glutathione typically has low bioavailability in the body, and, in the past, the best method of supplementation was IV. While this is effective, it has its drawbacks. Step in vitamin and supplement manufacturer HINNAO.

HINNAO has developed a superior supplementation with a delivery mechanism that equals an infusion, without the need for needles or cannulas. This means it is less invasive and more cost-effective for patients and clinics, especially those that do not provide infusions.

While traditional supplements such as capsules and tablets absorb through the (GI) gastrointestinal tract, glutathione is too fragile and needs to be delivered to the bloodstream.

HINNAO’s Glutathione Master Cellular Antioxidant contains high-stability lipid particles that can be absorbed into the bloodstream through small blood vessels in the mouth when taken in the form of liquid drops under the tongue in just 90 seconds.

THIRD-PARTY DATA

The company tests all its products using independent third-party certified laboratories to verify the percentage of drug permeation at specific time intervals.

One study showed that 54% of the HINNAO Glutathione was delivered into the bloodstream within 40 seconds, 80% within

60 seconds and 83% within 90 seconds.2

Another randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel, three-arm study conducted with 60 volunteers showed glutathione effectively influenced skin properties such as reducing skin pigmentation and improving elasticity.3

The healthy female subjects were equally randomised into three groups and took GSH (250 mg/d), GSSG (250 mg/d), or placebo orally for 12 weeks. At each visit at baseline and for 12 weeks, skin features including melanin index, wrinkles, and other relevant biophysical properties were measured.

Glutathione supplementation could therefore be a powerful adjunct to aesthetic treatments offering support from the inside out not just to improve the skin but also to overall wellbeing.
