WELCOME TO THE MARCH ISSUE OF AESTHETIC MEDICINE

More and more, we are seeing aesthetic clinics embracing the concept of an inside out approach to skin health and ageing. From the introduction of hormone therapies to nutrition and wellness, our sector has begun to realise the huge potential of bringing functional medicine and aesthetic medicine together. In this month’s issue, we take a look at some of the ways this is playing out, from the foods your patients can eat to support glowing skin (pp60-63), to the power of microbiome (pp66-68). We also look at the gut-skin connection and how addressing it can improve cystic acne (pp70-71) and explore how hormone replacement therapy can benefit men as well as women in our andropause-focussed feature on pages 72-73. Also look out for news about the latest advances in supplements to support healthy ageing from within, including HINNAO (p56) and Hush & Hush (p78). I have just started taking the HINNAO Glutathione and Turmeric Curcumin and can’t wait to see how they work.
