We take a look at a new-to-market aesthetic-solutions brand comprising peels, fillers and threads

Italian pharmaceutical company The Menarini Group has launched its ReLIfe Definisse range of aesthetic treatment modalities in the UK. Comprising three lines – threads, fillers and peels – ReLife Definisse aims to give practitioners the ability to create comprehensive, bespoke treatment plans for patients all within one product range. The range is developed with an integrated 3R approach to resurface, restore and reshape, with natural-looking results.

RESURFACE

Definisse Peels are a multi-level approach to resurfacing and targeting various skin conditions that can be helped by refining the skin’s texture. The universal Neutralising Buffer is used to finish each peel treatment and restore the skin’s pH balance after the first and second parts of the protocol:

Oily Skin Pre-peel is formulated to have a degreasing effect on combination-oily and acneprone skin before the peel.

Dry Skin Pre-peel is indicated for thin, dry or sensitive skins to gently cleanse and even out the skin’s pH pre-peel.

Classic Peel targets photo-ageing, superficial actinic wrinkles, expression lines, post-acne skin imperfections, superficial scars, seborrheic skin and stretch marks. It contains salicylic, pyruvic and retinoic acids.

Lightening Peel is formulated for localised hyper-melanosis, melasma from pregnancy or contraceptives, melanotic pigmentation and marks caused by photo-ageing. Along with salicylic, pyruvic and retinoic acid, the Lightening formula also contains Lumiskin (tyrosinase-inhibitor diacetyl-boldine) and lightening molecule Sepiwhite.

RESTORE

XTR crosslinking technology is the proprietary technology in Definisse Filler. According to the brand, it delivers “the perfect mix” of viscosity and elasticity, in a biodegradable non-animal origin hyaluronic acid gel. There are four options in the line: Core, Restore, Touch and Hydrobooster, available with lidocaine, giving practitioners the flexibility to meet patients’ needs, be it filling lines and wrinkles, refreshing the skin’s hydration levels or deeper, more intricate work. Each uses a very sharp, fine needle to aid extrusion and injection.

RESHAPE

Lastly, there is a line of three threads in the range, each designed for the needs of specific facial areas – Free Floating, Double Needle and Ancorage. The threads use a J-stitch composition and a combination p(LA-CL) for enhanced strength. They have bidirectional and convergent barbs that stimulate the body’s natural fibroblasts to synthesise extracellular matrix and collagen, lifting and holding soft facial tissues in place with less slippage.
