DEAR READERS
Well, here we are – my final editor’s note for Aesthetic Medicine. I’d love to say I’m penning this from a sun lounger, cocktail in hand, but alas, I’m still in the office, surrounded by empty coffee cups, and the lingering scent of deadline panic. After a fantastic few years at the helm, I’m handing over to the brilliant Kezia Parkins, who started working on Aesthetic Medicine back in 2022 and already knows where all the editorial skeletons are buried. You're in very capable, (and well-manicured) hands. Before you panic, I’m not disappearing off into the sunset to become a full-time wrestling host (tempting, but no). I’ll still be knocking around the aesthetics world, just wearing a slightly different hat; I’m joining the marketing team at a well-known brand, so, you'll still see me at events, awkwardly juggling a glass of prosecco and my lanyard, except now I’ll be talking about strategy and synergy (or whatever it is marketers do – I’ll let you know once I’ve figured it out). Putting together this magazine has been a genuine joy – mainly because of the wonderful contributors, practitioners, PRs and sector legends who make each issue come to life. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, insights, and occasionally unprintable stories.
So with that, I’ll sign off for the last time as editor. Do be nice to Kezia – she’s got great ideas, endless enthusiasm, and is significantly better at not sending emails with typos. And if you see me loitering near the canapé table at a conference, do say hello (and maybe discreetly hand me a glass of something sparkly).
Big love,
Anna Dobbie Aesthetic Medicine • Former Editor
