MEET THE EXPERTS

The Aesthetic Medicine editorial board’s clinical expertise and diverse range of specialities help ensure the magazine meets the needs of the readers. In this issue, we have received guidance from the following members:

DR RAJ THETHI

Dr Raj Thethi is a nationally renowned expert in medical aesthetics. As well as being a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, he attained a Level 7 accreditation in medical aesthetic injectables and holds a separate first-class honours degree in anatomy having a personal, specialist interest in head and neck anatomy.

DR SHIRIN LAKHANI

Dr Shirin Lakhani is an aesthetic doctor specialising in advanced facial aesthetics, skin health and wellness. In addition to consulting on the full range of aesthetic treatments, Dr Lakhani has specialist expertise in the areas of intimate health and hormone replacement therapy for both men and women.

She is a significant voice of authority within the intimate health space, speaking widely on HRT, menopause, incontinence, and intimate health.

DR MEI-YING YEOH

Dr Mei-Ying Yeoh’s career spans general dentistry and hospitalbased practice, with extensive experience as a core trainee in maxillofacial surgery. She managed minor facial injuries and assisted in major surgeries, including jaw reconstruction, gaining deep expertise in head and neck anatomy.

Trained by leading experts, Dr Yeoh now focuses exclusively on aesthetic medicine and has been educating medical professionals since 2019.

CHERYL BARTON

Cheryl Barton is an NMC registered nurse with over 25 years full time practice within the NHS and over 20 years in independent healthcare practice. Barton holds a post graduate diploma in Cosmetic Medicine, graduating from university with a distinction. She is a nurse prescriber, and a full member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses (BAMAN) .

VANESSA BIRD

Vanessa Bird has worked for many leading distributors in aesthetics. She uses over a decade of industry experience, knowledge, and connections as The Aesthetic Consultant to understand the specific challenges faced by many successful, high-profile individuals and clinics as she helps them to succeed in the elite ‘top tier’.
