High-tech facials: HIGH-TECH FACIALS

Contributing reporter Kezia Parkins visits Lisa Franklin Clinic to try the Caci Flex Facial

THE LOWDOWN

Marrying high-tech tools and holistic practices, the Caci Flex Facial combines microcurrent technologies, the power of LED light therapy and suped-up gua sha (a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves scraping the skin with a tool to improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and promote relaxation), to contour and sculpt the face, promote lymphatic drainage, boost circulation and reduce puffiness and renew the skin for a radiant glowing complexion.

THE EXPERIENCE

It was great to be back at one of my favourite clinics. Even on a hectic, stress-filled workday, Lisa Franklin’s rose quartz haven is a respite from the fast pace of many of our daily lives.

After being given the space to slow down, get undressed and settle on the bed, the therapist gave me a thorough double cleanse, before reaching for Caci’s iconic Quad Probes.

Despite their slightly intimidating appearances, the probes are a super non-invasive way to gently grab and target the tissue and muscles in the face to lift and firm muscles and redefine facial contours. The therapist used a pumping action on my cheek muscles and under my chin after more gentle contouring. Meanwhile, my skin is also reaping the benefits of the LED light.

The next step combined microcurrent and gua sha with the new treatment heads that are made with electroplated stainless steel. After a cooling, conducting gel was applied, the therapist started gently using the tools to drain any fluid from my face while infusing the microcurrent. This felt particularly amazing around my sinuses and eyes which always get congested and puffy.

The final step was the brand-new Microcurrent Energising Mask.

This fascinating sheet mask is printed with a silver conductive electronic circuit, activated by the Caci Synergy Flex system, allowing the whole face to be touched with the microcurrent energy.

The masks have replaced Caci’s individual pads placed on the face or neck during a non-surgical facial toning treatment to transmit microcurrent and boosted with Super Charge Energiser sachets of highly concentrated electrolytes and minerals, that ionise and increase the electrical conductivity of water. Added vitamin C, marine collagen and niacinamide all help to smooth, hydrate and brighten the skin.

THE VERDICT

Despite being a treatment in which 10 to 15 sessions are recommended, I felt and saw benefits after one session. My skin was radiant and depuffed and my sinuses felt clearer, seeing me leave the clinic in a much better state of wellbeing than when I arrived.

I believe this was the perfect example of when high-tech meets holistic.

BUSINESS BENEFITS

Clients will love this facial, not only for the results, but also the Instagramability of the steps and how it helps relax the whole body. Also, the Synergy Flex system helps future-proof your business by always being updatable and customisable, with existing treatment heads and new ones yet to come to market.
