We take a closer look at the two concentrations of Juvenus’s elastic and injectable gel

A new polynucleotide-based injectable for skin hydration and tissue restoration, Juvenus, is an elastic, colourless and reabsorbable injectable gel.

Produced by a European-certified manufacturer and distributed by Croma, Juvenus has been specifically developed for the treatment of various skin concerns of the face and body, giving instantly visible results.

The polynucleotide-based gel consists of polydeoxy-ribonucleotide (PDRN), a mixture of deoxyribonucleotides with a molecular weight of up to 1,500 kDa and a long series of nucleotides which form the poly-nucleotide backbone.

Due to its biochemical properties, Juvenus is effective against various signs of ageing, such as wrinkles, loss of skin firmness or skin tone.

Juvenus has a positive antioxidative effect as the enzyme-related degradation of the polynucleotide molecules can lead to an amplification of protective activities against free radicals.

The elastic and injectable gel also hydrates and moisturises due to its hydrophilic and polyanionic structure which enables polymerised polynucleotides to bind water molecules, resulting in an intensive moisturisation of the tissue.

Through extensive moisturisation and antioxidative activity, Juvenus creates an optimal physiological environment for fibroblast growth, which favours the restoration of the tissue elasticity.

To cater to all skin types and conditions, Juvenus is available in two concentrations.

Juvenus 2% medium works on slightly deeper wrinkles such as perioral wrinkles, cheek wrinkles and medium scars. Juvenus 2.5% strong works on medium-deep wrinkles and larger areas of the body, such as neck, back of the hands, abdomen, cleavage, thighs and glutes, nasogenien wrinkles and deep or large scars.

Both concentrations allow for Juvenus to be applied easily to different parts of the body and face, making it an ideal partner in modern aesthetic medicine.

1.8 million syringes are produced annually without any reported adverse reaction, which proves the safety and efficiency of Juvenus. PDRN is extracted and then purified at a high temperature, allowing the recovery of 95% pure active substance with inactivated proteins and peptides. 

Long-chain polynucleotides have also been shown to stimulate tissue repair and have anti-inflammatory properties.
