The Aesthetic Medicine editorial board’s clinical expertise and diverse range of specialities help ensure the magazine meets the needs of the readers. In this issue, we have received guidance from the following members:
JULIE SCOTT
Julie Scott is an independent nurse prescriber, Level 7 qualified aesthetic injector and trainer with more than 30 years of experience in the field of plastics and skin rejuvenation. She is an aesthetic mentor and international speaker, who has won the Aesthetics Awards ‘Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner of the Year’ in both 2022 & 2024, and ‘Best Clinic South of England’ 2023.
AMY BIRD
Amy Bird is an aesthetic nurse practitioner with over 10 years of nursing experience. She is the founder of KAST and chair of the British Association of Medical Nurses. Amy earned her Bachelor of Nursing in 2010 and found her passion in plastic and cosmetic surgery. She has worked with injectables, lasers, and noninvasive treatments for over seven years.
DR AHMED EL HOUSSIENY
Dr Ahmed El Houssieny is a GMC-registered doctor, associate member of BCAM and founder of Bank MediSpa.
A former anaesthetist with more than 15 years’ experience, he specialises in advanced injectables and laser treatments. He is a respected speaker, author and trainer, with a strong focus on patient safety and raising standards in aesthetic medicine.
DR JORDAN FAULKNER
Dr Jordan Faulkner is a full time cosmetic physician and founder of Allo Aesthetics. He is the founder and lead mentor of Unite Aesthetics Initiative and is a clinical educator at Interface Aesthetics. Dr Jordan is a brand ambassador at Revanesse and faculty member at DermaFocus. He is the co-owner of Myokine Ltd. He won winner of Rising Star of the Year at the Aesthetics Awards ‘25.
DR SABIKA KARIM
Dr Sabika Karim, founder of Skin Medical is a multi-award winning international educator who combines her NHS GP background with 18 years of aesthetic medical practice to deliver gold standard treatments to her patients at the clinic whilst raising industry standards by teaching and training her peers.
