Your injection system
Vivacy UK international KOL, clinical education lead and aesthetic doctor, Dr Zunaid Alli looks at Bi-SOFT® technology
A good injecting system needs to be comfortable in my hand and easy to administer the injectable gel. This may sound simplistic, but for facial injections that require precision and accurate placement, I would prefer not to have to grapple with an uncomfortable syringe. For example, when performing jawline augmentation with STYLAGE® XXL, I need the filler to be extruded from the syringe in a smooth linear flow extrusion pattern. The STYLAGE® XXL gel has a high G prime, and, when used for facial contouring, a smooth placement is required. This ensures that the jawline is crisp and accurately contoured after injection. If the syringe is uncomfortable, I may have to stop-start injecting which will lead to uneven placement of the filler and possible lumpiness as the filler settles into the targeted tissue. From a 2018 customer satisfaction survey done across five European countries, 97% of users were extremely satisfied with the patented injection system by VIVACY, Bi-SOFT® technology, from the comfort of use to the control of injection.
These four reasons lead to better injection results and are what make Bi-SOFT® syringes, in my opinion, the Rolls Royce of syringes.
1) HANDLING ABILITY - INJECTING WITH PRECISION
The Bi-SOFT® syringes have a large surface grip on the flange which is ergonomically designed, meaning that I have the stability I need to perform such accurate injections. I can manoeuvre between positions and depths of tissue with complete ease. Even if you have a great product, a poorly designed syringe makes the process difficult and will certainly put me off using the product. This will most certainly impact the result of the treatment. The reduction in force sensation for both needle and cannula is particularly important when injecting highly viscous, or high G prime fillers too, which are notoriously more challenging.
2) LETTING GRAVITY DO THE WORK
One thing you really notice when you first use a Bi-SOFT® syringe is their optimised centre of gravity – they balance perfectly in the palm of your hand while you are assessing the face and add an additional level of stability when injecting. Everything feels much more controlled, and the syringe does not feel heavy at any point, even after the gel is injected.
3) BI-MATERIAL TECHNOLOGY
The syringe grip is made from polycarbonate, which has a soft yet non-slip surface. For those that aspirate, this makes aspiration much easier to perform and, of course, aids in a level injection too. Furthermore, the five different colour palettes not only look aesthetically pleasing in my clinic, but also help me differentiate the product groupings.
4) VOLUME UNDER CONTROL
When injecting such exact small volumes, particularly in the nose for example, it is immensely important to have excellent readability to know how much product you are using. The recently upgraded white graduation allows for this, meaning I can accurately plan my treatment volumes while minimising wastage.
