Dr Lisa Dinley tells all about blending NCTF and toxin
Aesthetic Medicine
(AM): Tell us a little about yourself and your clinic?
Dr Lisa Dinley (LD): I am the medical director of The Castle Clinic in Nottingham. I am passionate about education, and love sharing knowledge with other medical professionals. My focus is on bio-regenerative techniques for skin rejuvenation, sun damage reversal, scar treatment, including acne scarring, and hair restoration.
Early in my career, I worked in hospitals in South Wales, focusing on oral surgery, then in private practice on Harley Street, London. In 2001, I moved to Nottingham and worked at SmileStyle Dental Centre for 16 years, completing an MSc in aesthetic medicine and a master’s in clinical dentistry.
My favourite part of my job is getting to know my patients and providing holistic care. I love the journey we take together and enjoy changing people’s lives.
AM: What is NCTF by FILLMED, and how does it work?
LD: New Cellular Treatment Factor (NCTF) by FILLMED is a powerful bioregenerative solution formulated to rejuvenate and deeply nourish the skin. Developed in 1978, NCTF brings over 45 years of trusted medical heritage and has been featured in more than 9,000 case studies, affirming its efficacy and scientific backing. The formula contains a blend of 60 active ingredients, including essential vitamins, amino acids, coenzymes, nucleotides, antioxidants, and hyaluronic acid. Together, these components work to stimulate the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid within the skin, which enhances skin texture, firmness, and radiance.
Ideal for addressing fine lines, dullness, and other visible signs of ageing, NCTF offers a comprehensive and proactive approach to skin health by not only rejuvenating but also supporting the skin’s natural regenerative processes.
AM: Combination treatments are becoming increasingly popular in our industry, what are the benefits of combining NCTF with botulinum toxin?
LD: Combining NCTF with botulinum toxin offers several benefits by targeting different aspects of facial rejuvenation.
As we know, intramuscular BTX-A (traditional botulinum toxin) targets facial muscles responsible for dynamic movements and rhytids (wrinkles caused by muscle movement).
Intradermal BTX-A (mesotox) targets the smaller muscle fibres that tether the dermis to the underlying tissue and musculature. Unlike traditional toxin, which immobilises facial muscles, mesotox subtly modulates the skin’s appearance and function, offering benefits such as:
• Reduced pore size
• Decreased redness
• Lowered sebum production
• Relaxed superficial rhytids
• Enhanced skin lift
• Overall skin quality improvement.
AM: Can you describe the treatment protocol when using NCTF and botulinum toxin together?
LD: It varies depending on the different areas we can treat. For example, for mid-facelift, we use a microdroplet technique, administered in a grid pattern, with injection points 0.5–1 cm apart.
AM: What are some of the indications that can be treated with this combination therapy?
LD: Combination therapy with NCTF and botulinum toxin can treat various skin conditions and has many benefits, including acne and seborrhoea, rosacea, skin texture, and pore size. This therapy offers a synergistic smoothing action with 360° management of wrinkles through continuous skin redensification.
