WELCOME TO THE NOVEMBER ISSUE OF AESTHETIC MEDICINE MAGAZINE

Dear Readers,

I am delighted to welcome you to Aesthetic Medicine Magazine in my capacity as guest editor. I recently took part in a charity fundraiser at the Aesthetic Medicine Awards 2023 for the Overseas Plastic Surgery Appeal (an international children's charity providing reconstructive surgical procedures) and won the privilege of serving as your guest editor for this special November issue.

The theme of this month's issue is "Injectables and Trends," a topic that has been rapidly evolving and reshaping the field of aesthetic medicine. I am the director of Skin Group International (SGI) where we specialise in the research and development of education and training for all aspects of aesthetic practice, and my passion is for improving the standards, training and safety for patients, clients and practitioners in the aesthetics industry, so this issue is particularly close to my heart.

As the aesthetics industry continues to evolve, so do the expectations and preferences of our patients and clients. It is crucial for practitioners and enthusiasts alike to stay informed about the latest advances, techniques, and emerging trends in the realm of injectables. Throughout these pages, you will find an exciting blend of expert insights, indepth articles, and thought-provoking features.

Our esteemed contributors have shared their knowledge and expertise to provide you with a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in injectables in the aesthetic industry. From dermal fillers and neurotoxins to innovative approaches for facial rejuvenation, our aim is to equip you with the knowledge you need to stay at the forefront of your field. We are also privileged to feature interviews with prominent figures in the world of aesthetic medicine who share their perspectives on industry trends. Their experiences and insights offer valuable guidance to both seasoned practitioners and those just beginning their journey in this dynamic field.

In addition to our focus on injectables, we delve into the everevolving landscape of aesthetic trends. We explore the many and varied factors driving the choices patients and clients make and how practitioners can adapt to meet these evolving demands. As we explore the transformative power of injectables, I hope you will gain insights and ideas that will inform and inspire you, and help you achieve your goal of providing the highest level of care to your patients. Your dedication and expertise are instrumental in helping individuals look and feel their best.

I hope you enjoy reading this issue of Aesthetic Medicine and find inspiration and new perspectives within its pages. Make sure you follow Aesthetic Medicine’s website, newsletter and social channels for regular industry news and updates. The editorial team always welcome your views and comments, so please email editor Anna Dobbie at anna.d@thepbgroup.com.
