THE LOWDOWN

Juvelook is an injectable skin rejuvenation treatment combining hyaluronic acid with poly-D,L-lactic acid, a collagen-stimulating ingredient. Rather than adding significant volume like a traditional dermal filler, it works gradually to stimulate the skin’s natural collagen production. Over time, this can help improve skin firmness, elasticity, texture and the appearance of fine lines for a natural-looking result. Reaching my mid fifties, I’ve begun to notice increasing changes to the overall look of my skin. I’ve been most concerned about the visible loss of elasticity and definition along my jawline, and the fine lines deepening around my marionette area. I started to think about a solution that would give me a natural lift, rather than a dramatic and unnatural transformation - something that would give me a refreshed look.

THE EXPERIENCE:

I was treated by Dr Lisa Dinley, and right from the initial consultation she filled me with confidence about the procedure she had recommended for me. She took the time to explain the science behind the treatment, and thoroughly answered every question I had, putting my mind at ease.

The treatment was a course of three Juvelook sessions, spread across six months.

My first session was in October 2025 and after some ‘before’ pictures had been taken, Lisa focused on targeting some of the areas I was most concerned with.

The treatment itself was largely pain free and Lisa continued to chat away with me throughout, which kept me relaxed as she worked away. She even gave me a little stress ball to squeeze – not that the session was in any way stressful! After the session, I didn’t suffer any bruising or after affects from the treatment.

The second session was in February 2026, where Lisa reviewed the results of the first session before some more pictures were taken and she got started on the second session. Again, the session was pain free.

By the final session in April 2026, I was starting to notice some subtle changes in my skins’ elasticity, and I could really see a positive change. My skin was starting to feel firmer, and I felt my jawline definition was starting to improve. At this session, Lisa also worked on my neckline, to enhance the overall results I would eventually see.

THE VERDICT

The Juvelook treatments are not an instant fix and it was important that I allowed the sessions to really take effect, which takes time.

The collagen stimulation takes time to reveal any long term results. While I noticed subtle changes over the course of the three sessions, the real difference is now, three months after the last session. I have now really started to see a positive change in my skin’s firmness, my jawline definition and the overall condition of my skin. My face looks naturally refreshed, firmer, and visibly smoother without any artificial volume. And the best news is that these results will last up to 18 months before I’ll need to think about another session.
